Southern Steel Berhad (Bursa: SSTEEL) is the Hong Leong-founded long-steel producer whose main plant is in Prai Industrial Estate, Penang. Since 2025 it has been 50.1% owned by You Zhenhua’s Green Esteel, which now also owns the neighbouring Ann Joo Steel mill.
