Shanghai Putailai New Energy Technology (璞泰来, Shanghai: 603659) is a leading Chinese maker of artificial-graphite anode material for lithium-ion batteries. Through Zichen Malaysia Sdn Bhd it bought 62.4 acres in the Gurun Heavy Industrial Park, Kedah, in 2026 for a planned 50,000-tonne-a-year anode plant costing up to US$297 million.
